I was asked if I might be willing to relate my recent personal experience with the “Waking Down” work, of which Saniel Bonder is the originator. I have felt compelled to share what has been happening with me, but imagined that I would do so in some small setting when the time felt right. This broader, more public exposure feels very vulnerable, but I feel drawn to do it, so here goes….

The hotel experience: As a frequent traveler of the Hilton Hotels program, I have booked rooms directly from their reservation number and then while on their website over the years. As competitive discount hotel websites proliferated, Hilton has changed its pricing structure to be competitive. Recently, I made a reservation using their least expensive, prepaid rate. An unexpected business trip intervened and I tried to reschedule my personal stay for the following week. This is when my surprising experience began.
